FORK IN THE ROAD
If your trust,
In prayer is gone,
A "Fork in the Road",
Will come along,
It waits in the shadows,
From dusk to dawn,
And rattles its chains,
With a hateful song:
"Toss the mantle!
Clear the shelf!
Throw God away!
Protect yourself!
Why use prayer,
If it doesn't work?
Why be exposed,
To so much hurt?"
Why build a bridge,
If it will just fall down?
Why bother wearing,
Such a crown?"
And therein lays,
The bitter truth,
That we can lose,
The fire of youth,
That we can sow,
A seed to soil,
That we can plow,
And water and toil,
Only to see,
A withered root,
Only to suffer,
A stolen shoot.
But plant we must …
We’ve a Gardener’s Heart!
And every Spring,
With a fresh new start.
We’ll plant a seed,
And expect it to grow,
Oh! We'll plant many!
And what do you know?
A whisper from God,
Will bend the bow,
That quickens the arrow,
Against the foe.
And all the prayers,
That we’ve bestowed,
Will rise to God,
At the Fork in the Road.
Prayer can save,
Prayer can heal,
Prayer is forged,
Hotter than steel,
Prayer can open,
Prayer can seal,
Prayer is power,
Potent and real.

Mark 4:14-23 KJV
14 The sower soweth the Word.
15 And these are they by the way side, where the Word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the Word that was sown in their hearts.
16 And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the Word, immediately receive it with gladness;
17 And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the Word's sake, immediately they are offended.
18 And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the Word,
19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the Word, and it becometh unfruitful.
20 And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the Word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.
21 And he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick?
22 For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad.
23 If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.

Ephesians 3:17-21
17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
20 Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
