HORSES IN THE NIGHT SKY
Horses in the night sky,
Wolves giving chase,
Comets are falling,
All over the place.
Hooves of steel,
Churn stars to dust,
And rows of teeth,
Turn shimmer to rust.
Wolves in packs,
Hunt into the blue,
Silver-coats fade,
A bloody hue.
Running and tired,
The horses shout,
And Whoa! the blow,
When they turn about.
Bones collide,
Amidst thundering breath,
The battle is nigh,
Unto the death.
Come Arcturus, Orion,
Come Pleiades and see,
As mountains are thrown,
Into the sea.
Come Equuleus, Pegasus,
Come sons and daughters,
Come stir the wells,
Of healing waters.
The battle raged,
Across the sky,
Until a child,
Came riding by.
The wolves they howled,
The horses neighed,
As the young boy's star,
Could be heard to say …
“Horses in the night sky,
Don’t you know,
It's a friendly race?”

Isaiah 11:6 (KJV)
The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb,
and the leopard shall lie down with the kid;
and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
