GEMS
Learn your bewilderment,
But shed its weight,
Learn its fear,
But cast off its fate,
Learn its voice,
When confusion knocks at your door,
But do not open it,
That's not what a shaking is for.
Learn taunt's howl,
But shun its spit,
Learn its shame,
And find the truth in it,
Learn its prod,
It's corrupted correction,
So you can aim your arrow,
In the opposite direction.
Learn anger's rage,
But do not serve it chilled,
Learn its sword,
But do not learn its will,
Learn that its chaos,
Can easily be stilled,
With a touch of Grace,
It's emptiness is filled.
Learn death's frost,
Feel its chill on your skin,
But know that you know,
You do not have to let it in,
Learn its name,
And then learn to say "Nay!"
Because death is a notion,
You learn to throw away.
Bewilderment,
Taunting,
Anger,
And death,
Have come to steal your very breath,
But alas the joke,
Has turned on them,
For in the darkness,
God created a gem.

Genesis 1:1-5 (KJV)
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
