MEG's REPLY
When I was a girl I'd walk the hills,
To gather flowering sheaves of heather,
Come rain or shine I'd drink my fill,
Not a care what the god's had weaved out of the weather.
I'd watch the ships from the outer isles,
Head in and out of the harbour,
On many a day I'd sail away,
On enchanted winds that whisked me away on a clipper.
Said I to myself, "That's quite a view!"
All's awash in a sea of blue,
I've always wanted to share it with,
A someone just like you.
There's many a suitor,
Down in the centre of town,
But my heart's here,
On the hill,
I only know that,
These wings aren't much good on the ground.
Where the south wind plays,
Where sky meets the land,
I can see our children,
There I can live forever,
Such a vision,
T'is the breath of my soul and my will.
There we shall live with,
Our heads in the clouds,
Not too eager to follow,
The rules or the crowds,
But as long as you're there,
Then I can surely see how,
I'll say I'll make you a vow.
We'll build a home,
High up on the hillside,
Where the summit,
Greets the stars as they come out at night.
We'll dance in the moonlight,
We'll sail on the wind,
We'll sow and we'll water,
Till the harvest comes in,
I will rest by your side,
Though I barely know how,
I will make this promise now.

Merry Christmas
MEG's REPLY is a response to Stings' Song titled "WHAT SAY YOU MEG?".
Sting’s song impressed me as the kind of words that Jesus would say to the whole world.
