IF YOU LOVE ME – IF YOU DON’T
If you love me, I’m a story teller,
If you don’t I’m a rambling drunk.
I hang with sinners, prostitutes and punks.
If you love me, I’m a Saviour,
If you don’t, I blaspheme God.
I dare to call Him “Father”, dare to expose your fraud.
If you love me, I have power,
If you don’t, I’m an oily man,
Anointed to bring hope, to anyone I can.
If you love me, I’m your provider,
If you don’t, I have no bowl,
To restore and feed your embryo of a soul.
If you love me, I’m the Word,
If you don’t, there is no bread,
Though the heat is nigh to raise you from the dead.
If you love me, I am music,
If you don’t, my words scratch deep,
As I write upon your heart while you sleep.
If you love me, I stand in the door,
If you don’t, I stand all the more,
And bid you rest while I keep watch,
And you make up your mind for sure.

Matthew 9:11,12 (KJV)
And when the Pharisees saw it,
they said unto his disciples,
Why eateth your Master
with publicans and sinners?
But when Jesus heard that,
he said unto them,
They that be whole need not a physician,
but they that are sick.
